kCura V. Horizon Software: “Oh, The Places You’ll Go!”

At kCura, many of us travel all over the country and even to Europe.  This week Greg, a member of our kCura team, ventured to our nation’s capitol, Washington D.C.

Horizon, stay tuned to find out where our next pedometer will appear!

kCura V. Horizon Software: Dancing Machines!

On Friday night kCura held a rave for all employees to dance the night away. For kCura, a ‘rave’ means a big dance party at a funky theater in downtown Chicago, complete with Cirque Du Soleil-like performers. We were celebrating 50,000 users of our software, Relativity.

kCurians kept track of their dancing steps at the party. Our dancing machines logged a ton of steps, and we’re NOW averaging just more than 80,000 average steps per day!

Below are some pictures of kCurians at the dance party.

What did you do Friday night Horizon?

kCura V Horizon Software: kCura is Steppin’ Up

We caught Lauren trying to use her scooter to get to the bathroom. We gave her a Five Hour Energy drink and sent her on her walking way. Scooter-less…

Here is a little bit of information about our office. At kCura, it is an entire city block (0.1 mile=528 feet) to walk from one end of the office to the other. Scooters are often used as a means of transportation. Planning to use the bathroom is a necessity because it is inconveniently located. You can find our Development team somewhere “far, far away” and it is the longest walk from our front door.

Today we chose to count how many steps it takes to walk from our front door to the bathroom and then from our front door to our Development team offices.

Here is the count:

From the front door to the bathroom and back are 470 steps.

From the front door to our Custom Development department and back is 632 steps.

You do the math, Horizon …

kCura V Horizon Software: Can you walk 672 miles?

Horizon, in your video you said that you “could walk to our town”. We decided to do some  research to find out how long it would take you to walk to Chicago.

Be cautious Horizon – the route is missing sidewalks or pedestrian paths!  We want to make sure our pralines arrive in mint condition. :)

Take a look…
