kCura V Horizon Software: We Definitely Walk in Style

Yesterday, we asked our top walker at kCura, Dave, to show us his pedometer at 11 a.m.

This is how many steps he had before noon … Wow!

After getting a hold of his pedometer, we asked how many steps he usually accumulates by the end of the day.  This is what we saw…

kCura V. Horizon Software: Walk This Way!

Pictured is Mark, a member of the Enterprise Sales team and Danielle, a member of PSI.

Hey Horizon!

It turns out that you are not our only competitor.

Two teams inside of kCura started a walking competition of their own.

The kCura Enterprise Sales team is challenging our Product Solution and Integration (PSI) team to see who can “out step” the other.

Currently, the PSI team has stepped up and taken the lead with 1,058,708 steps! But Enterprise Sales is on their heels with 1,045,725 steps!!

We are excited to see which team will win!

Go kCura!!

kCura v Horizon Software: Let’s Rock ‘n’ Roll Horizon!

Horizon – kCura did not run a marathon this past weekend, but a kCurian who is a past marathon runner did complete a race last weekend.

Below is a photo of David, a kCura runner, who ran the Rock ‘n’ Roll half marathon this past weekend in Washington D.C.

This weekend, David will be running in the Shamrock Shuffle, which is an 8K (4.97 miles) held in Chicago.

Oh … and I guess we should not forget to mention that he is training for the Ironman Triathlon.  Wow! Think of all the steps he is getting from that training!

Revitalize your walking goals this Spring

Revitalize your walking goals this Spring

Spring is the perfect time to renew your step goals and reenergize your walking routine.

Review your goals. Polish up what’s working and sweep out what’s not.

Boost your step goal. If you’re hovering around 6,000 steps a day, try pushing it 20 percent, to 7,000 steps.

Restate your goals. Recommit to yourself. Recommit to your walking buddy. Sharing your goals with your buddy may just be the motivation you need. And your buddy would probably appreciate some support, too.

Enjoy the outdoors. Appreciate the fresh air, the birds singing, and greeting the many other walkers you’ll come across. Take different routes and explore new areas in your neighborhood. Walk to work and head outside at lunch time with a co-worker for a walk.

Check your dashboard. It’s an excellent visual reminder. Do it daily and remember to upload your pedometer at least weekly.

buddiesHow to Invite a Walkingspree Buddy

1. Login to your Account

2. Click on “Buddies” under the green menu

3. Select the tab “Manage Buddies”

4. Select the “Choose Buddies” button. This will allow you to search for a buddy by screen name and send them a buddy invite.

Everyone by default has a virtual walking buddy that automatically walks 7,000 steps/day: “Your Virtual Resolution”. Use them as your pace buddy to try and increase your steps.
